Depleted Uranium Shells Used by U.S. Military Worse Than Nuclear Weapons

by David Gutierrez  posted Tuesday, May 20, 2008

(NaturalNews) The use of depleted uranium (DU) munitions by the U.S. military may lead to a death toll far higher than that from the nuclear bombs dropped at the end of World War II.

DU is a waste product of uranium enrichment, containing approximately one-third the radioactive isotopes of naturally occurring uranium. Because of its high density, it is used in armor- or tank-piercing ammunition. It has been fired by the U.S. and British militaries in the two Iraq wars and in Afghanistan, as well as by NATO forces in Kosovo and the Israeli military in Lebanon and Palestine.

Inhaled or ingested DU particles are highly toxic, and DU has been classified as an illegal weapon of mass destruction by the United Nations.

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority has estimated that 50 tons of DU dust from the first Gulf War could lead to 500,000 cancer deaths by the year 2000. To date, a total of 2,000 tons have been generated in the Middle East.

In contrast, approximately 250,000 lives were claimed by the explosions and radiation released by the nuclear weapons dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

“More than ten times the amount of radiation released during atmospheric testing [of nuclear bombs] has been released from DU weaponry since 1991,” said Leuren Moret, a U.S. nuclear scientist. “The genetic future of the Iraqi people, for the most part, is destroyed. The environment now is completely radioactive.”

Because DU has a half-life of 4.5 billion years, the Middle East will, for all practical purposes, be radioactive forever.

The two U.S. wars in Iraq “have been nuclear wars because they have scattered nuclear material across the land, and people, particularly children, are condemned to die of malignancy and congenital disease essentially for eternity,” said anti-nuclear activist Helen Caldicott.

Since the first Gulf War, the rate of birth defects and childhood cancer in Iraq has increased by seven times. More than 35 percent (251,000) of U.S. Gulf War veterans are dead or on permanent medical disability, compared with only 400 who were killed during the conflict.

(Nanowerk News) Some day – perhaps sooner than we think – we just might be saying “the transhuman race” instead of “the human race.”
As technology marches forward at a dizzying pace, the “human-ness” in human beings is under siege. What will it mean to be human as time goes on?
Transhumanism, or the transition phase from the “human” to the “posthuman,” brings with it a host of scientific, religious, technological and philosophical questions.
Those questions will be discussed in a series of free events this month on the theme of “Transhumanism and the Meanings of Progress,” sponsored by the Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict.
The first is a free public lecture by Dan Sarewitz, director of the Consortium for Science, Policy & Outcomes at ASU, at 7:30 p.m., April 21.
His lecture “Can Technology Make Us Better?” will take place in Armstrong Hall’s Great Hall.
On April 22, Sarewitz will join other faculty members in a panel discussion on “The End of Privacy,” at 12:15 p.m. in Bateman Physical Sciences Building A-206. This event is part of the Mathematics and Cognition seminar series.
The third event, planned with students in mind, is “The Ethics of Transhumanism,” at 5 p.m., April 23, in the University Club. This event, which includes dinner, is a Lincoln Center Seminar on Real Life Ethics with Brad Allenby and Sarewitz.
The final event is a two-day workshop on “Transhumanism and the Meanings of Progress,” April 24-25 at the University Club, which is an invitational event. Participants include Sarewitz, Don Ihde, Jean Pierre-Dupuy, Katherine Hayles, Andrew Pickering and Ted Peters.
“Technological change and social change go hand-in-hand,” says Sarewitz, who is concerned with enhancing the social benefits of science and technology. “Technology is as much a part of humanity and the human condition as culture or politics. Understanding the implications of our own ingenuity is an important part of understanding ourselves.
“As new areas of innovation, such as nanotechnology, biotechnology and neurotechnology, begin to emerge and proliferate, our ability to govern them for societal benefit demands that we understand the ways in which politics and culture guide – and are guided by – technological change.”
The four events are part of a multiyear grant (2006-2009) from the Metanexus Institute, a global, interdisciplinary “think tank” that sponsors educational activities and networking worldwide to address the challenges of our changing world – to conduct the Templeton Research Lectures.
The theme for the four years is “Facing the Challenges of Transhumanism: Religion, Science and Technology.” This year’s events focus on the acceleration of knowledge and technologies that are rapidly changing the human condition, and exploring new ways for perceiving and analyzing a world that is far more complex than once imagined.
ASU is one of 15 universities worldwide to receive a grant to conduct the Templeton Research Lectures, says Carolyn Forbes, assistant director of the Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict.
But ASU’s focus is a bit different from that of the other participants, she says.
While the primary aim of the Templeton Research Lectures is to promote dialogue and research between the physical, biological and human sciences, “ASU is unique in using transhumanism as a theme to talk about how the changes taking place in biotechnology, information technology, and cognitive science – and a host of other inter-related technologies – may affect the evolution of the human species,” Forbes says.
History professor Hava Tirosh-Samuelson is the guiding force behind ASU’s Templeton Lectures and the other events organized around the theme of transhumanism.
“My interest in transhumanism is part of a larger and deeper commitment to the dialogue of science and religion, which is rooted in the conviction that, historically and conceptually, science and religion are not antagonistic but intertwining cultural forces,” Tirosh-Samuelson says. “The term ‘transhumanism’ signifies a young and still-changing ideology that envisions a new phase for the human species as a result of new scientific discoveries and technological advances, especially in genetic engineering, robotics, informatics and nanotechnology.
“As a humanist concerned about the future of humanity, I believe we must not let these developments take place without engaging them from a variety of perspectives: philosophical, ethical, social, political, legal and religious.”
In 2004, Tirosh-Samuelson and several faculty members at ASU established a faculty seminar they called “Being Human: Science, Religion and Technology” that continues to meet under the auspices of the Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict.
As a result of that seminar, the faculty applied for the Templeton Research Lecture grant.
“It is my hope that, through our engagement, lectures and public events, we will bring transhumanism to the attention of the public at large and inspire people to reflect on the impact of new developments in science and technology that deeply affect the meaning of being human,” Tirosh-Samuelson says.

A recent Austin-American Statesman review of Neo-Con Philip Bobbitt’s new book Terror and Consent features an image of a shredded Constitution under the words “Everything must go,” which acts as a suitable entrée to a disgusting diatribe which praises Bobbitt’s call for the end of America and its replacement with a de facto world government in the name of fighting terror. The words, “How to Fight Terrorism” are in place of a torn piece of the Bill of Rights.

Reviewer James E. McWilliams describes Bobbitt as “a distinguished lecturer and senior fellow at the University of Texas and a law professor at Columbia University,” but anyone with a basic grasp of what America’s founders envisioned and what Ronald Reagan later termed the “shining city on a hill” would be more apt to describe Bobbitt – nephew of Lyndon Baines Johnson and former State Department counselor – as an enemy of the Republic.

McWilliams’ fawning review of the book is intended to sucker in millionaire pseudo-intellectuals who think they are part of the elite by using mental gymnastics and brazenly contradictory statements in order to justifying the revolting underlying premise of the book.

As soon as we learn that the facade of Bobbitt’s argument is to provide a solution “for fighting the wars that are bound to plague the 21st century,” we’re already safe in the knowledge that Bobbitt represents another chicken-necked warhawk who has already claimed ownership of the next 10 decades for his Neo-Con ideological fetish of imperial bloodletting and brutal domination.

So what exactly is Bobbitt’s solution?

The complete obliteration of sovereignty and the nation state and its replacement with a new “order that takes its structural cues from multinational corporations and nongovernmental organizations” that will have the power to pursue “more aggressive tactics of preclusionary warfare,” meaning more pre-emptive invasions of broken-backed third world countries to expand the creaking pax-Americana empire.

Despite terse and contradictory promises that we will still have some semblance of freedom in Bobbitt’s technocracy, he admits that there will be “no obvious answer to many of the human rights issues that are bound to arise,” as a result of his plan to completely eviscerate God-given freedoms enumerated in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

The reviewer cites Bobbitt’s justification to impose world government as a means of combating,”The accessibility of weapons of mass destruction, the globalization of international capital and the “universalization of culture” have eroded the conventional borders that once legitimated national security,” all problems that were created by globalists’ drive to impose centralized systems of control in the first place by creating crises and then posing as the saviors.

This is another classic example of problem-reaction-solution. Use the pretext of the problems you have created to then offer a solution that befits your ultimate agenda – global government.

“Bobbitt believes that the UN Charter should be amended to allow the preemptive use of force without a Security Council authorization,” and “In cases in which the use of non-lethal chemical weapons could be used to prevent terror, be able to redefine such methods as “counterforce measures,” writes McWilliams.

The “use of chemical weapons,” where have we heard that one before?

It was Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, William Kristol, Donald Rumsfeld and the rest of the Neo-Con collaborators that formed the Project For a New American Century – the ideological framework of the Bush administration, who proposed the use of “…advanced forms of biological warfare that can target specific genotypes (which) may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool.”

A leaked British Ministry of Defence report last year also envisioned a nightmare future society in which the population are forced to accept brain chips, immigration and urbanization ravages communities, class warfare ensues, and biological and neutron weapons are used to combat overpopulation.

(Ed. I’m tellin’ you folks-the people running our govts. are nut cases and probably demonically controled. Cheney, Wolfawitz, even Bush need to be carefully watched. They want to kill us off to have better control)

Since Bobbitt cites “non-lethal chemical weapons” as a means of “preventing terror” what exactly does he mean? Mass-medicating Americans’ drinking water with sodium fluoride to keep the population docile and subservient to the new international order, absent of traditional constitutional rights, that Bobbitt seeks to impose? The vagueness of the reference suggests Bobbitt and in turn the simpering reviewer McWilliams are attempting to carefully dance around the true scale of the horror that they are advocating.

Mandating a false choice between the acceptance of terrorism as a routine cancer upon society or the imposition of a brutal warmongering world government and the obliteration of sovereignty and the constitution, the book advises us to progress, “not by choosing good over bad, but — as is usually the case in war and politics — the lesser of evils.

And the lesser of evils in this case is to allow Bobbitt and his salivating Neo-Con cronies to have their way with the 21st century while they posture and insist their global government is our savior against a terrorist threat that they created in the first place. As Bobbitt would no doubt agree with the CFR’s Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., the globalists are “not going to achieve a new world order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money,” and as H.G. Wells proclaimed, “Countless people… will hate the new world order… and will die protesting against it… When we attempt to evaluate its promise, we have to bear in mind the distress of a generation or so of malcontents…” (Ed. They’ve been talking about this for a long time. The Plan is in place. Are you prepared-is your heart right? There may not be much time left, “now is the day of salvation”. It is time to repent)

We are those “malcontents” that the globalists fear so much, we are the representation of everything that is good about the human spirit – love, hope, the yearning for freedom and a kindred bond with our fellow man, along with the shared promise of a peaceful and prosperous future for our children.

Bobbitt and the rest of the Neo-Con turds who have already decided to condemn us to a century of warfare, tyranny, and centralized control may be surprised to learn that the resistance to their agenda is accelerating and that the true essence of humanity, the “malcontents,” will rise up and condemn them to the only place they belong – on the scrapheap of history.

“The benei Elohim saw the daughters of Adam, that they were fit extensions” (Gen 6:2, Interlinear Hebrew Bible)

May 3,

In the study of the Old Testament Book of Genesis, beings of great stature called “giants” appear, which some scholars believe came into existence after powerful angels known as ‘Watchers’ descended to earth and used women (or their biological matter) to construct bodies of flesh, which they used to “extend” themselves into the material world.

The Apocryphal books of Enoch, 2 Esdras, Genesis Aprocryphon and Jasher support the Genesis story, adding that the sin of the angels grew to include genetic modification of animals as well as humans. The Book of Jasher, mentioned in the Bible in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18, says, “After the fallen angels went into the daughters of men, the sons of men taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order to provoke the Lord”(4:18). This clear reference to the Genesis 6 record illustrates that “animals” were included in whatever cross-species experiments were being conducted, and that this activity resulted in judgment from God. The Book of Enoch also supports this record, saying that after the fallen angels merged their DNA with women, they “began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish” (7:5,6). The Old Testament contains associated reference to genetic mutations, which developed among humans following this activity, including unusual size, physical strength, six fingers, six toes, animal appetite for blood and even lion-like features among men (2 Sam 21:20; 23:20).

What if, by corrupting the species barrier in which each creature was to recreate after its “own kind,” Watchers had successfully mingled human-animal DNA and combined the hereditary traits of different species into a single new mutation? An entirely new being—Nephilim—might have suddenly possessed the combined intelligence and instincts (seeing, hearing, smelling, reacting to the environment) of several life forms and in ways unfamiliar to creation.

Will modern biotechnology resurrect Nephilim?

Today, molecular biologists classify the functions of genes within native species but are unsure in many cases how a gene’s coding might react from one species to another. In recombinant DNA technology, a “transgenic” organism is created when the genetic structure of one specie is altered by the transfer of a gene or genes from another. This could change not only the genetic structure of the modified animal and its offspring, but its evolutionary development, sensory modalities, disease propensity, personality and behavior traits among other things.

Such transgenic tinkering already exists in many parts of the world including the United States, Britain and Australia where animal eggs are being used to create hybrid human embryos from which stem cell lines can be produced for medical research. A team at Newcastle and Durham universities in the UK recently announced plans to “create hybrid rabbit and human embryos, as well as other ‘chimera’ embryos mixing human and cow genes.” More alarmingly, the same researchers have already managed to reanimate tissue “from dead human cells in another breakthrough which was heralded as a way of overcoming ethical dilemmas over using living embryos for medical research” (1). In the United States, similar studies led Irv Weissman, director of Stanford University’s Institute of Cancer/Stem Cell Biology and Medicine in California to create mice with partly human brains, causing some ethicists to raise the issue of “humanized animals” in the future that could become “self aware” as a result of genetic modification. Even the President of the United States, George W. Bush in his January 31st, 2006 State of the Union Address called for legislation to “prohibit…. creating human-animal hybrids, and buying, selling, or patenting human embryos.”

Not everybody shares these concerns. A radical, international, intellectual, and cultural movement known as “Transhumanism” supports the use of new sciences including genetic modification to enhance human mental and physical abilities and aptitudes so that “human beings will eventually be transformed into beings with such greatly expanded abilities as to merit the label ‘posthuman'” (2).

I have personally debated leading transhumanist, Dr. James Hughes on his weekly syndicated talk show, Changesurfer Radio. Hughes is Executive Director of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies and teaches at Trinity College in Hartford Connecticut. He is also the author of “Citizen Cyborg: Why Democratic Societies Must Respond to the Redesigned Human of the Future”, a sort of Bible for transhumanist values. Dr. Hughes joins a growing body of academics, bioethicists and sociologists who support “large-scale genetic and neurological engineering of ourselves….[a] new chapter in evolution [as] the result of accelerating developments in the fields of genomics, stem-cell research, genetic enhancement, germ-line engineering, neuro-pharmacology, artificial intelligence, robotics, pattern recognition technologies, and nanotechnology…. at the intersection of science and religion [which has begun to question] what it means to be human…” (3).

In related development, Case Law School in Cleveland was awarded a $773,000 grant in April 2006 from the National Institutes of Health to develop guidelines “for the use of human subjects in what could be the next frontier in medical technology – genetic enhancement.” Maxwell Mehlman, Arthur E. Petersilge Professor of Law, director of the Law-Medicine Center at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and professor of bioethics in the Case School of Medicine is leading the team of “law professors, physicians, and bioethicists in the two-year project to develop standards for tests on human subjects in research that involves the use of genetic technologies to enhance ‘normal’ individuals – to make them smarter, stronger, or better-looking” (4).

Other law schools including Stanford and Oxford have recently hosted “Human Enhancement and Technology” conferences where transhumanists, futurists, bioethicists and legal scholars merged to discuss the ethical and legal ramifications of posthumans.

In his book “Life, Liberty and the Defense of Dignity: The Challenges of Bioethics“, the former chairman of the President’s Council on Bioethics, Leon Kass provided a status report on where we stand today regarding transhumanism. He warned in the introduction that “Human nature itself lies on the operating table, ready for alteration, for eugenic and psychic ‘enhancement,’ for wholesale redesign. In leading laboratories, academic and industrial, new creators are confidently amassing their powers and quietly honing their skills, while on the street their evangelists are zealously prophesying a posthuman future. For anyone who cares about preserving our humanity, the time has come for paying attention” (5).

Not to be outdone in this regard by the National Institute of Health, DARPA and other agencies of the U.S. military have taken inspiration from the likes of Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings. In a scene reminiscent of Saruman the wizard creating monstrous Uruk-Hai to wage unending, merciless war, we find billions of American tax dollars have flowed into the Pentagon’s Frankensteinian dream of “super-soldiers” and the “Extended Performance War Fighter” program. Not only does the EPWFP envision “injecting young men and women with hormonal, neurological and genetic concoctions; implanting microchips and electrodes in their bodies to control their internal organs and brain functions; and plying them with drugs that deaden some of their normal human tendencies: the need for sleep, the fear of death, [and] the reluctance to kill their fellow human beings,” but Chris Floyd in an article for CounterPunch a while back quoted the Daily Telegraph and Christian Science Monitor, saying “some of the research now underway involves actually altering the genetic code of soldiers, modifying bits of DNA to fashion a new type of human specimen, one that functions like a machine, killing tirelessly for days and nights on end…. mutations [that] will ‘revolutionize the contemporary order of battle’ and guarantee ‘operational dominance across the whole range of potential U.S. military employments” (6).

In keeping with our editorial, imagine the staggering implications of such science if dead Nephilim tissue was discovered with intact DNA and a government somewhere that was willing to clone or mingle the extracted organisms to make Homo-nephilim. If one accepts the biblical story of giants as real, such discovery could actually be made someday, or perhaps already has been and was covered up. The technology to resurrect the extinct species already exists, and cloning methods are being studied now for use with bringing back Tasmanian Tigers, Wooly Mammoths and other extinguished creatures.

“Let not the dead live, let not the giants rise again…” (Isaiah 26.14, Douay-Rheims Version).

The reference above from the Book of Isaiah 26:14 could be troubling, as it may reflect a prayer from the prophet, a petition to God not to allow the giants to incarnate again. Did Isaiah pray this way because he knew something about the future, something related to a return of Nephilim?

The relationship between creatures called “Rephaim” and the Nephilim of ancient texts is enlightening, as Rephaim are viewed as the spirits of dead Nephilim in the grave. The word “Rephaim” carries with it the meaning ‘to heal’ or to be ‘healed’ as in a ‘resurrection’. In the Ras Shamra texts, the Rephaim are described as both human and divine beings who worshipped the Amorite god Ba’al, the ruler of the underworld, where the Rephaim served as his acolyte assembly of lesser gods, kings, heroes, and rulers. These beings were believed to have power to return from the dead through incarnation in bodily form as ‘Nephilim’. The ability of Rephaim to be reincarnated in this way as living Nephilim is viewed by some as the explanation for Nephilim existing before, and after, the Great Flood.

The book of Job may elucidate this idea when it says, “Dead things are formed from under the waters. . . .” (Job 26.5). The dead in this text are Rephaim and the phrase “are formed” is from “Chuwl”, meaning to twist or whirl as in a double helix coil or genetic manufacturing. When combined with something my good friend Steve Quayle once wrote, the word “Chuwl” takes on added meaning:

“When the Greek Septuagint was created, the Hebrew word Nephilim was translated into Greek as ‘gegenes’. This is the same word used in Greek mythology for the ‘Titans’, creatures created through the interbreeding of the Greek gods and human beings. The English words ‘genes’ and ‘genetics’ are built around the same root word as gegenes; genea meaning ‘breed’ or ‘kind’. Thus, the choice of this word again suggests a genetic component to the creation of these giants.” (7)

And what about this prophecy from Isaiah:

“The vision which Esaias son of Amos saw against Babylon. Lift up a standard on the mountain of the plain, exalt the voice to them, beckon with the hand, OPEN THE GATES, YE RULER. I GIVE COMMAND AND I BRING THEM: GIANTS ARE COMING TO FULFILL MY WRATH [emphasis added]. . . . For behold! the day of the Lord is coming which cannot be escaped, a day of wrath and anger, to make the world desolate. . . . And Babylon . . . shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. . . . It shall never be inhabited . . . and monsters shall rest there, and devils shall dance there and satyrs shall dwell there . . .” (Isaiah 13:1-3, 9, 19-22, [Septuagint Version]) (8).

Given what is happening in Babylon (Iraq) and biotechnology today, we may be witnessing the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.

I’m not claiming these people weren’t 100% human at one time, what I am saying is that they invited the control and bodily takeover of Reptilians through blood drinking and rituals and now can be bodily overtaken by them or possessed against or within their own will.

Keep in mind, we all have the ability to see these humans/reptilians for what they are and how they really are. Just pray for God to reveal it to you. Being a reptilian is something that must be activated through drinking blood and ritual among those who possess the serpent DNA. Not all those who possess this DNA are reptilian. Reptilians in human form are also called shapeshifters and can go between looking human one second, and a lizard-like reptilian the next. For more information on blood and rituals click here

“Let not the dead live, let not the giants rise again…” (Isaiah 26.14)

The concept of the existence of a bizarre race of giants, the Nephilim, being the progeny of actual “fallen angels,” and earthly women is considered to be a stretch of Genesis 6 by most of mainstream Christianity.

This same concept has not however escaped contemporary mainstream culture which appears to be on a spiritual quest and the Bible is not the exclusive source of unusual documentation.

With a torrent of recent fiction and non-fiction literature, television, video games and movies, these nasty angels are hot – and not in a hellfire and brimstone concept. They have “fathered” an entire meta-media frenzy focusing on the blending of a transdimensional spirit realm with our physical world, and the possible implications.

These interests are finding expression in previously diverse but increasingly bizarre cultures from the primal to the ultra-sophisticate. If art does indeed reflect life/culture, then Americans is, progressive.

In April, 2007, The Washington Post featured the details of one of the newer undertakings to celebrate American aesthetics and a ‘new’ tolerance of‘ enlightenment. In, “Grand Vision for National Harbor Takes Form,” The Post article begins with developer Milt Peterson who, “looks upon the artist renderings of National Harbor with the critical eye of a general. It’s like nothing Washington has ever seen.”

Construction is progressing at the site located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, just south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. The Washington Post describes “sail-shaped banners” lining the Potomac waterfront and “Stonehenge-like boulders” alternating with “larger-than-life bronze statues along the promenade leading to the water.” The project’s website expects that “entire community will be brought to life throughout the year with festivals, music and more. Even National Harbor’s main thoroughfare, American Way … is being designed as an homage to the American experience.” The centerpiece for the National Harbor had been a “carefully guarded secret” until the Spring of 2007:

“The Awakening” is the one of eight sites under “Parks and Gardens” featured and described on the US Senate’s official webpage. Never seen it or heard of it? From a fact sheet provided at the National Harbor’s website, “The Awakening” was created in 1980 as one of five hundred pieces for the 11th International Sculpture Conference Exhibition. The five part sculpture gives the impression of a “panicked giant trying to pull himself to the surface,” with a “bearded face and a mouth in mid-scream,” according to Wikipedia. At times, “the Potomac River floods the statue, adding to the eeriness as the giant tries to escape the drowning waters.”

The piece has been interred at Hains Point by the National Park Service for 27 years and according to Paula Stoeke, director of the Sculpture Foundation which held title and oversaw maintenance, ‘The Awakening’ “enjoyed a relationship with the community and visitors to Washington over the years.”

According to a letter in which sculptor Johnson wrote to Mr. Patterson, he has, “reviewed the plans made for the location and I think it will be perfect . . . Charlie, as I understand he is now dubbed, should be very happy in his new home.”

Developer Patterson describes his vision: “They’ll be steps going down, and there’ll be Charlie, on the beach.” Other artwork commissioned for the Harbor’s landscape includes statues of Benjamin Banneker, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. “We’re putting something fabulous on the river that says it’s special,” he says. “It’s going to be POW! It’s going to be explosive! We’re going to change Washington.” Indeed.

If the National Harbor is to serve as a warm and fuzzy welcome and expression of 21st century “culture,” many experts would suggest we are in big trouble. What may appear to be evolutionary and spiritual ascent, may well be the summoning of horrific ancient entities.

Employing the perspective of Biblical exegesis, both historic and prophetic, and incorporating extensive collections of ancient and modern records and research, an unusual synthesis emerges: could the ancient ‘mythical’ gods and giants actually have existed?

Author, researcher and theologian Thomas Horn cites precedence and questions the classical approach to these ‘lesser gods’ suggesting these ‘heroes of old’ were actually a chimerical terrestrial presence.

As radical as this position might appear, Tom Horn is not alone. Documentation of significant ancient anthropogenic excavations are confirming the existence of “larger than life” civilizations characterized by extraordinarily erudite intellect, exceptional physical capabilities and disquieting spiritual acumen.

In increasing numbers researchers and scholars are challenging formalistic education’s disregard of diffusionist history. They feel that academicians have neglected significant evidence and been dismissive of any effort to examine or authenticate an enormous volume of collaborative evidence. This posture eliminates an enormous quantity of paleo and anthropologic evidence thus failing to adequately address thousands of ‘mysterious’ sites, ‘legends’ and other vestiges of historic importance. Predisposition repudiates serious scholarship and contaminates subsequent examination.

Says Dr. Horn, “The book of Job may elucidate this idea when it says, “Dead things are formed from under the waters. . . .” (Job 26.5). The dead in this text are Rephaim and the phrase “are formed” is from “chuwl”, meaning to twist or whirl as in a double helix coil or genetic manufacturing.”

We live in a philosophical and spiritual climate stimulated by seeds of conspiracy and watered by revisionist history, a grand sweep from The DaVinci Code to ABC Family Channel’s “Fallen,” to the Mayan Calendar and 2012. There is a desperate need for pragmatism and uniformity but always the underlying possibility of hip market capitalization and purposeful disinformation. Can it be that by nourishing this cultural beast and paying “homage” to the American experience we may be harboring formidable – albeit whimsical – talismans? It is a seductive possibility.

In another curious “twist,” an article recently published in The Cincinnati Post, described the “intellectual shock waves” set off within our Age of Enlightenment Founding Fathers when giant animal bones were discovered at Big Bone Lick in northern Kentucky. Interestingly, there were also reports of enormous human bones at the time.

According to the article, Dr. Brenda Hanke, the curator of Invertebrate Paleontology at the Cincinnati Museum Center, had “always thought of Franklin and Jefferson as political figures, not scientists with whom she shared a curiosity and passion to understand the natural world. …. For her, the enduring lesson of Big Bone is the “infectious curiosity” it created among the greatest minds in America. She believes the site and its bones still have the power to inspire people, no matter what their age, to “explore and follow our curiosities, even if we don’t end up writing a Declaration of Independence.”

President FD Roosevelt once said, “In politics, nothing happens by accident.” Perhaps President Woodrow Wilson was more insightful, “Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”

“For some reason which I have failed to understand, many people like the system [scientific totalitarianism] when it is Russian but disliked the very same system when it was German. I am compelled to think that this is due to the power of labels; these people like whatever is labelled ‘Left’ without examining whether the label has any justification.”- Bertrand Russell, 1952 (p56)

What exactly is the purpose of education? Does the government want to teach young people how to think and reason for themselves or is it a form of mass psychology aimed at propagandising the young? These questions are examined through Bertrand Russell’s 1952 book entitled The Impact of Science on Society*.

Bertrand Arthur William Russell, 3rd Earl Russell (1872-1970) was a renowned British philosopher and mathematician who was an adamant internationalist and worked extensively on the education of young children. He was the founder of the Pugwash movement which used the spectre of Cold War nuclear annihilation to push for world government. Among many other prizes, Russell was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1950 and UNESCO’s (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) Kalinga prize in 1957.

Part 1 of this series examines the impact of “scientific technique” on society. The second part explores Bertrand Russell’s views on the stability of a worldwide scientific society. Part 3 deals with population control and the scientific breeding of humans.

Education, a Modern Method of Propaganda

From Bertrand Russell’s The Impact of Science on Society:

“I think the subject which will be of most importance politically is mass psychology. Mass psychology is, scientifically speaking, not a very advanced study… This study is immensely useful to practical men, whether they wish to become rich or to acquire the government. It is, of course, as a science, founded upon individual psychology, but hitherto it has employed rule-of-thumb methods which were based upon a kind of intuitive common sense. Its importance has been enormously increased by the growth of modern methods of propaganda. Of these the most influential is what is called ‘education’. Religion plays a part, though a diminishing one; the Press, the cinema and the radio play an increasing part.

What is essential in mass psychology is the art of persuasion. If you compare a speech of Hitler’s with a speech of (say) Edmund Burke, you will see what strides have been made in the art since the eighteenth century. What went wrong formerly was that people had read in books that man is a rational animal, and framed their arguments on this hypothesis. We now know that limelight and a brass band do more to persuade than can be done by the most elegant train of syllogisms. It may be hoped that in time anybody will be able to persuade anybody of anything if he can catch the patient young and is provided by the State with money and equipment.

This subject will make great strides when it is taken up by scientists under a scientific dictatorship. Anaxagoras maintained that snow is black, but no one believed him. The social psychologists of the future will have a number of classes of school children on whom they will try different methods of producing an unshakeable conviction that snow is black. Various results will soon be arrived at. First, that the influence of home is obstructive. Second, that not much can be done unless indoctrination begins before the age of ten. Third, that verses set to music and repeatedly intoned are very effective. Fourth, that the opinion that snow is white must be held to show a morbid taste for eccentricity. But I anticipate. It is for future scientists to make these maxims precise and discover exactly how much it costs per head to make children believe that snow is black, and how much less it would cost to make them believe it is dark grey.” [emphasis mine] – 40

The Intended Result of Education

“The completeness of the resulting control over opinion depends in various ways upon scientific technique. Where all children go to school, and all schools are controlled by the government, the authorities can close the minds of the young to everything contrary to official orthodoxy. Printing is impossible without paper, and all paper belongs to the State. Broadcasting and the cinema are equally public monopolies. The only remaining possibility of unauthorised propaganda is by secret whispers from one individual to another. But this, in turn, is rendered appallingly dangerous by improvements in the art of spying. Children at school are taught that it is their duty to denounce their parents if they allow themselves subversive utterances in the bosom of the family. No one can be sure that a man who seems to be his dearest friend will not denounce him to the police; the man may himself have been in some trouble, and may know that if he is not efficient as a spy his wife and children will suffer. All this is not imaginary, it is daily and hourly reality. Nor, given oligarchy, is there the slightest reason to expect anything else.” [emphasis mine] – 58

“Scientific societies are as yet in their infancy. It may be worthwhile to spend a few moments in speculating as to possible future developments of those that are oligarchies.

It is to be expected that advances in physiology and psychology will give governments much more control over individual mentality than they now have even in totalitarian countries. Fichte laid it down that education should aim at destroying free will, so that, after pupils have left school, they shall be incapable, throughout the rest of their lives, of thinking or acting otherwise than as their schoolmasters would have wished. But in his day this was an unattainable ideal: what he regarded as the best system in existence produced Karl Marx. In future such failures are not likely to occur where there is dictatorship. Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible. Even if all are miserable, all will believe themselves happy, because the government will tell them that they are so.” [emphasis mine] – 61

That is really worth repeating.

“Diet, injections, and injunctions [a command, admonition, etc.] will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible.”

 Some Miscellaneous Uses of Education

“…result from the elimination of war [and the establishment of a world government]. A great deal, also, is to be hoped from a change in propaganda. Nationalist propaganda, in any violent form, will have to be illegal, and children in schools will not be taught to hate and despise foreign nations. Active instruction in the evils of the old times and the advantages of the new system would do the rest. I am convinced that only a few psychopaths would wish to return to the daily dread of radioactive disintegration.” – 108

“The nations which at present increase [their populations] rapidly should be encouraged to adopt the methods by which, in the West, the increase of population has been checked. Educational propaganda, with government help, could achieve this result in a generation.” [emphasis mine] – 116

The idea of using education or rather sex education to reduce the population of the west was further promoted in 1968 by Paul Ehrlich in his book The Population Bomb**:

“We need a federal law requiring sex education in schools – sex education that includes discussion of the need for regulating the birth rate and of the techniques of birth control. Such education should begin at the earliest age recommended by those with professional competence in this area – certainly before junior high school.

By “sex education” I do not mean course focusing on hygiene or presenting a simple-minded “birds and bees” approach to human sexuality. The reproductive function of sex must be shown as just one of its functions, and one that must be carefully regulated in relation to the needs of the individual and society.” – 133

For more on Paul Ehrlich’s views on the use of education and other means of population control please read this previous article, Population, Religion and Sex Education.

 The Governing Classes Only

Most people reading this article are the products of a state run educational system. If the above is not enough to make you reflect on the merits of universal education and on all of the things you were ‘taught’ as a child (and since then), hopefully the following quote will.

“Although this science will be diligently studied, it will be rigidly confined to the governing class. The populace will not be allowed to know how its convictions were generated. When the technique has been perfected, every government that has been in charge of education for a generation will be able to control its subjects securely without the need of armies or policemen…” [emphasis mine] – 41

H.G. Wells: Subdue yourselves to the federation of

the world, or else

 By Daniel Taylor

H.G. Wells is perhaps best known for his status as the father of science fiction and his “War of the Worlds”, which was recently transformed into a modern Hollywood production. Unknown to many, Wells penned several other books and essays which were not of the science fiction genre. The “New World Order”, and the “Open Conspiracy” are two notable pieces that Wells produced.

Wells wrote the first edition of “The Open Conspiracy” in 1928. This book details what Wells called the “Open Conspiracy” among intellectual elites who despise the old order of things and desire to work towards a grand world directorate, a global society in which individuals no longer hold fast to tradition, but yield themselves willingly to the world state for the good of all. The Open Conspiracy utilizes propaganda, educational and governmental reform, and other forms of influence to achieve its goals. The scientific management of the world is at the heart of the open conspirators agenda. Of course, this tight management is sold as being for the benefit of all.

Population control is named by Wells in the Open Conspiracy as a “primary condition” of the world directorate. Wells writes,

“There is a clear hope that, later, directed breeding will come within his [mankind’s] scope, but that goes beyond his present range of practical achievement, and we need not discuss it further here. Suffice it for us here that the world community of our desires, the organized world community conducting and ensuring its own progress, requires a deliberate collective control of population as a primary condition.

Very slight adjustments in social and economic arrangements will, in a world of clear available knowledge and straightforward practice in these matters, supply sufficient inducement or discouragement to affect the general birth rate or the birth rate of specific types as the directive sense of the community may consider desirable.

We want watchful and understanding guardians and drivers of complex delicate machines, which can be mishandled and brutalized and spoilt all too easily. The less disposed these masters of our machines are to inordinate multiplication, the more room and food in the world for their ampler lives. Even to the lowest level of a fully-mechanicalized civilization it is required that the human element should be select.”

A concise and bluntly stated summary of Wells’ idea of a federation of the world can be found in the introduction that he wrote for prominent eugenicist Margaret Sanger in her book “Pivot of Civilization”, written in 1922. Wells speaks with an authoritarian and elitist voice condemning the world for misusing the “gifts” that the elite have so kindly presented to mankind. He writes these chilling words,

“The New Civilization is saying to the Old now: “We cannot go on making power for you to spend upon international conflict. You must stop waving flags and bandying insults. You must organize the Peace of the World; you must subdue yourselves to the Federation of all mankind. And we cannot go on giving you health, freedom, enlargement, limitless wealth, if all our gifts to you are to be swamped by an indiscriminate torrent of progeny. We want fewer and better children who can be reared up to their full possibilities in unencumbered homes, and we cannot make the social life and the world-peace we are determined to make, with the ill-bred, ill-trained swarms of inferior citizens that you inflict upon us.”

With this one paragraph, Wells succeeds in presenting the full intent of population control: total domination.

I do not agree with all said here but worth a read for background.

The United States has committed billions to a controversial human genetic research project that could have tremendous international importance, but surprisingly little public debate has taken place.

The Human Genome Project, as it is known, was started about five years ago, winning a $31 million grant from Congress to the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Energy, and the National Library of Medicine. In 1989, the project’s budget was increased to $53 million. The projected cost of the program over its 15-year life span is $3 billion, and it is expected to involve dozens of government agencies, university laboratories, and private data centers by completion.

The purpose of the project is to identify and “map” all of the individual human genes that make up the person, or, as a writer in Time magazine described it in 1989, to “decipher the complete instructions for making a human being.”

In fact, according to the Grolier Encyclopedia, the word “genome” means “the totality of genes making up [the] hereditary constitution,”

And what do scientists hope to accomplish with this ambitious project? “It’s going to tell us everything,” says George Cahill of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. “Evolution, disease, everything…”

Other advocates of the program insist that the research could lead to cures for genetic diseases or cancer, or that it might prove to be the first step toward developing the capability for “gene therapy,” a process in which the genetic code can be manipulated to eliminate defects.

The project “will revolutionize the way biology and medicine are done in the laboratory,” said Charles Cantor, director of the Human Genome Center at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in Berkeley, in a December 1990 article in the Washington Times.

But the research raises a wide range of ethical questions, too. It is asserted in a guest column appearing in the New York Times in February, for instance, that “the dangers of attributing too much power to the genes are profound.”

The writer of the column, Dorothy Nelkin, is a professor at New York University and co-author of a book on genetics and popular culture. “Faith in genetic testing on the part of both the public and scientists reflects the technocratic dream of controlling the accidental, anticipating the unpredictable, and eradicating the risk,” Nelkin writes. But no cure exists for most genetic problems, and Nelkin is doubtful that research will ever fully succeed in this respect. “Ultimately, the only way to eliminate genetic conditions is through controlling reproduction,” she concludes, “and here lies the risk.”

In other words, the $3 billion Human Genome Project may do little more than provide a new, high- tech basis for population control.

This is not a question of detecting and preventing the causes of congenital abnormalities like those that may occur when an expectant mother gets German measles, for instance. For that we don t need the Human Genome Project. Rather, “gene-mapping” research is intended to gather information about familial traits, hereditary human characteristics that are passed from one generation to another. The “cure” in this case — absent the equally frightening reality of genetic engineering — is to halt the reproduction of entire families so that persons likely to possess the unpopular trait are “bred out” of the society, leaving no nephews, no sisters, no offspring who might come back to haunt us.

Already, such intentions are suspect. A conference on the topic of “Genetic Factors in Crime: Findings, Uses and Implications,” was planned in the Washington, D.C. area for the fall of 1992 with the specific goal of exploring possible links between heredity and criminal conduct. The meeting, which had been assured a $78,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health, was abruptly canceled when members of the academic and scientific community denounced its theme as racist. Indeed, there is little that such a proposed linkage between crime and “bad genes” could offer in terms of public policy except a rationale for curbing fertility among entire classes of people.

But while the “crime connection” proved too controversial — at least for now — other theories have met with less resistance. During the past few years alone, scientists have taken credit for “discovering” a genetic basis for a variety of human conditions ranging from the tendency toward alcoholism to homosexuality.

Potential applications for such theories provide the grounds for yet another controversy. A December 1992 report in the Washington Times described the case of an expectant couple who requested a diagnostic test to determine if their child would have a genetic abnormality. According to the report, they were told by officials of the health maintenance organization (HMO) to which they belonged that if they had the test done and a fetal defect was detected, they would be obligated to opt for abortion. If they refused, continues the report, “not only would the HMO not pay for the test or provide health care for the child, it would also cap the benefits for their already existing child.”

Theoretically, at least, the Human Genome Project holds the key that may one day enable scientists to identify every imaginable genetic trait, raising the question of how far such coercive medical policies could go in promoting abortion, sterilization or Norplant to prevent the continuation of certain genetic strains.

Indeed, who would define the point at which diversity becomes disability? And would it not be possible — perhaps even “reasonable” in the right political climate — to insist that all persons undergo some kind of genetic evaluation?

As Nelkin notes in her New York Times op- ed, knowledge itself tends to influence government policy, and such inevitable considerations as cost- cutting “can encourage policies that border on eugenics.”

The legal basis for “genetic cleansing” already exists. It has long been recognized in the United States, for instance, that the government has a legitimate interest in public health and welfare, and may regulate or even compel certain behaviour to protect it. Mandatory vaccinations are a case in point. Anti-smoking legislation is another.

As a general rule, population control advocates also base their public rhetoric on a vague perception of “the common good.” For the most part, they insist that individuals and couples are at least theoretically free to “choose when and if they will have any children,” to use the language of a draft plan of action prepared for the upcoming International Conference on Population and Development. But this freedom is far from unqualified. Adds the same population conference document: “The right to bear children implies responsibility to care for children and to consider their interests and the interests of the larger community.” And it might just as well imply that they take into consideration the “health” of future generations, when the means to do so become available.

It is not an excess of cynicism that leads people like Nelkin to express concern that the findings of a $3 billion research extravaganza will simply have to be put to some practical use. There is a human tendency to set aside qualms about discrimination and human rights when “new” social policies come packaged as progress, as absolute truth, and as the reward for awesome new medical discoveries. Worse yet, for government to fail to make use of such expensively- acquired knowledge would be to commit the unpardonable sin of squandering public funds.

The Human Genome Project was explicitly intended by Congress to be international in scope. The implications of the studies in a world in which population control can be inflicted on entire nations can be nothing less than terrifying. If the United States government — and the leaders of other wealthy, powerful nations — can ruthlessly impose fertility limits on persons far beyond their shores, they will almost certainly be willing to place new genetic technologies at the service of other, equally devious ends.

Still, one may argue that projections about the future are pure speculation. The past, on the other hand, is history. And history, too, has quite a bit to say about the inherent abuse potential in genetic manipulation.

Consider, for instance, this criticism of the health care system: “Modern medicine is responsible for the loss of appreciation of the power of heredity. It has had its attention too exclusively focussed [sic.] on germs and conditions of life. It has neglected the personal element that helps determine the course of every disease… It has forgotten the fundamental fact that all men are created bound by their protoplasmic makeup and unequal in their powers and responsibilities.”

This argument was made, not during legislative hearings on the Human Genome Project, but in the preface to a 1911 book titled Heredity in Relation to Eugenics by Charles Benedict Davenport.

But the connection to the contemporary issue is undeniable. Simply stated, applied genetics is the “scientific” belief in human inequality — exactly what the Davenport book says it is. And because such research affirms the idea that people are by their very nature unequal in their abilities and potential, it is effectual mainly in forging unjust and oppressive public policies.

The notion of “natural” inequality between groups appears even more dramatically in foreign relations, where the stereotype of dark-skinned natives unable to make advancements without the help of the benevolent developer — formerly the “white man s burden,” and now western-defined “sustainable development” — hangs over foreign “aid” operations from Asia and the Pacific across Africa and on to Latin America.

Enemies, too, are routinely subjected to charges of hereditary worthlessness on a national or regional scale. The concept of the biological menace of the Bolshevik entered the U.S. consciousness a generation before the official declaration of the cold war. Lothrop Stoddard, a prolific author and advocate of both strategic and eugenic birth control, wrote his influential critique of the Russian revolution only six years after the overthrow of the czars. The book, called Revolt of the Under-Man, explained that the “Under-man” (the revolutionary) “wreaks his destructive fury on individuals as well as on institutions. And the superior are always his special targets.”

To Stoddard, the overthrow of the czar was the triumph of a class of hereditary inferiors — and more. He called social equality nothing less than the domination of “the unadaptable, inferior, and degenerate elements,” and wrote that this dangerous concept threatens both east and west: “No land is immune,” proclaims Stoddard s premature cold war manifesto. “Bolshevik Russia is merely the standard- bearer of a revolt against civilization which girdles the globe.”

Today, similar things are said about the developing world. The nations of the south, complains a report on world population trends prepared in 1991 for the U.S. Army Conference on Long-Range Planning, do not share America s “respect for individual rights and private property.” The imminent rise to power of new blocs, the inevitable result of high rates of population growth in the developing regions, could bring with it “a progressively weaker constraint on the exercise of force,” says the study, hinting both that the people of these areas are somehow ill-suited to peaceful civilization and that political pressures caused by their rapid increase might trigger increasing military actions on the part of the north.

An even more outrageous and explicitly genetic theory is examined in the Summer 1992 issue of Mankind Quarterly, a journal that deals with demographics and “social” biology.

On the 35th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling, Norma McCorvey (a.k.a. “Jane Roe,” who later changed her views on abortion in the mid-90s) gave Paul her official endorsement today.

“I support Ron Paul for president because we share the same goal, that of overturning Roe v. Wade. He has never wavered on the issue of being pro-life and has a voting record to prove it. He understands the importance of civil liberties for all, including the unborn,” she said at a press conference in Washington this morning.

Paul accepted the pro-life activist’s endorsement, saying of abortion: “It is still one of the most crucial issues of our day that we deal with this. As much as I talk about economic liberties, and civil liberties, and trying to avoid the killing overseas, I think the issue of life is paramount.”

Experiments on Children,

Minorities, Woman and Inmates

(1845 – 2007)

Think U.S. health authorities have never conducted outrageous medical experiments on children, women, minorities, homosexuals and inmates? Think again: This timeline, originally put together by Dani Veracity (a NewsTarget reporter), has been edited and updated with recent vaccination experimentation programs in Maryland and New Jersey. Here’s what’s really happening in the United States when it comes to exploiting the public for medical experimentation:

(1845 – 1849)

J. Marion Sims, later hailed as the “father of gynecology,” performs medical experiments on enslaved African women without anesthesia. These women would usually die of infection soon after surgery. Based on his belief that the movement of newborns’ skull bones during protracted births causes trismus, he also uses a shoemaker’s awl, a pointed tool shoemakers use to make holes in leather, to practice moving the skull bones of babies born to enslaved mothers (Brinker).

New York pediatrician Henry Heiman infects a 4-year-old boy whom he calls “an idiot with chronic epilepsy” with gonorrhea as part of a medical experiment (“Human Experimentation: Before the Nazi Era and After”).

Dr. Arthur Wentworth turns 29 children at Boston’s Children’s Hospital into human guinea pigs when he performs spinal taps on them, just to test whether the procedure is harmful (Sharav).

Harvard professor Dr. Richard Strong infects prisoners in the Philippines with cholera to study the disease; 13 of them die. He compensates survivors with cigars and cigarettes. During the Nuremberg Trials, Nazi doctors cite this study to justify their own medical experiments (Greger, Sharav).

In episode one of Visions of the Future, Kaku introduced the use of small, but intelligent, machines in medicine as a form of ‘ubiquitous computing’. However, where these micro-technologies might monitor health and well-being from outside the body, here Kaku looks at nano-scale robots that would be injected into the bloodstream in order to do a similar job from the inside. In addition such ‘nanorobots’ would also be able to perform additional medical functions, for example, targeted drug-delivery or the detection and removal of cancerous or even pre-cancerous tissues. Commentator Joel Garreau (author of Radical Evolution) refers to these as the first and second generation of biomedical nanobots: the “watchdogs” and the “hunter-killers”. The programme suggests that “in the future swarms of invisible nanorobots might be permanently patrolling our blood system…”
